Build the brief around the device and the loaded bag.
Screen size is not enough to specify a laptop compartment. The actual device width, height, thickness, and any protective sleeve determine the required clearances. Hoplok develops custom leather and PU laptop bags, briefcases, and business carry styles for brands, with production teams in China and Cambodia.
Send the device dimensions or reference unit, planned accessories, carrying method, and exterior design. We can discuss the compartment layout, padding, handles, shoulder strap, branding, and packaging before making the sample. A fit or protection claim should be based on the approved construction and its agreed checks.

Separate device fit from exterior dimensions
A large outer bag can still have a restrictive device opening. Lining, seam allowance, padding, and closure hardware all affect usable space. Define the padded compartment independently from the main body, including its opening and retention method. List the charger, cables, documents, and other items that will share the bag so their pockets do not reduce the device clearance.

Material selection and finish development
The shell, lining, padding, and reinforcement form one assembly. Review appearance and handling alongside the loaded weight and carrying requirements. Leather and PU options are quoted separately. For leather finishing, ProPelli processes crust leather received from partner tanneries; the Cambodian facility holds a valid LWG Gold rating. Final material choices and performance checks should be documented in the approved specification.

What to check before approving the sample
- Use the actual device or an agreed dimensional reference to check insertion, removal, and retention.
- Load the device and accessories together; review compartment clearance and the bag’s balance.
- Check handle and strap attachments, base construction, zipper operation, and any luggage-sleeve fit.
- Agree on relevant load, seam, closure, and protection tests before making performance claims.
Record agreed materials, measurements, construction details, branding, and any test requirements in the approved specification. Confirm revisions before bulk production. Our quality control page explains the broader inspection process.
Laptop Bags: development questions
Can a bag be labeled for a 15-inch or 16-inch laptop?
Supply the target device dimensions and models rather than relying only on screen size. Confirm the usable compartment and opening in the sample before stating compatibility.
Can you include a trolley or luggage sleeve?
Provide the required sleeve width, position, and reference luggage handle dimensions. Its seam placement and interaction with rear pockets should be checked on the sample.
Is a padded compartment automatically drop-proof?
No. Padding alone does not establish a protection rating. Define the intended use and any required test method, then assess the complete bag construction against that requirement.
