Proven Quality, Verified Compliance: The Hoplok Standard

Quality control starts with agreed product specifications and approved samples. Hoplok checks incoming materials, work in progress, and finished leather goods, with testing selected for the product and destination market.

Our leather supply chain includes ProPelli, our LWG Gold-rated leather finishing facility in Cambodia, and partner tanneries that supply crust leather. Ask for the documentation and test plan relevant to your order.

Protecting Your Brand's Reputation is Our First Job

In today’s market, customers want more than just a beautiful product. They want to know it’s durable, safe, and made by a company that cares about its people and the planet. Our entire quality system is built to protect your brand on all these fronts.

Our commitment to excellence stands on three core pillars:

Product Excellence

We inspect appearance, dimensions and function against the approved sample and agreed requirements. Inspection findings are reviewed before the order is released.

Social & Ethical Compliance

Our company records include BSCI and SMETA social audits and Sedex participation. Ask for the relevant site, audit date, scope and corrective-action information. These are responsible-sourcing tools, not product certificates or guarantees of all working conditions.

Environmental Responsibility

Our company records include ISO 14001 environmental management systems and sourcing from LWG-rated leather facilities. Request the current documents for the relevant site and order; facility-level information does not establish the complete product’s environmental impact.

Physical Testing and Product-Specific Assessment

Physical testing supports material selection and product development alongside visual and dimensional inspection. We agree the required checks for your construction and destination, and arrange external testing where needed.

Examples of assessment areas

  • Straps and attachments: load and attachment behaviour under an agreed method.
  • Surface rubbing and wear: colour transfer and finish appearance under stated conditions.
  • Scratch and flex behaviour: assessment relevant to the selected finish.
  • Temperature and humidity exposure: material or product behaviour under the agreed conditions.
  • Hydrolysis resistance: assessment of relevant coated materials.

Ask which checks are available in-house and which require a qualified external laboratory. Reports apply to the tested samples and conditions; they do not guarantee a service life or prevent every return.

From Source to Shipment: Our Multi-Stage Quality Process

Our QC team checks incoming materials, production work and finished goods against the agreed specification. We document findings and coordinate corrections before release rather than relying on a general promise of perfection.

01

Raw Material Inspection (IQC)

Incoming checks review leather appearance, material references, hardware function and other agreed requirements before components enter production.

02

In-Process Inspection (IPQC)

In-process checks review cutting, stitching and assembly against the approved sample. Findings are recorded and referred for correction.

03

Final Product Inspection (FQC)

Final inspection checks appearance, dimensions, edge finishing, branding and function using the agreed inspection plan and acceptance criteria.

04

Third-Party Audit Ready

Buyer or third-party inspections can be arranged. Agree the scope, timing, access and release requirements with our team before the inspection.

Review the Documents Relevant to Your Order

Ask for the current facility documents, audit information and product testing relevant to your order. ISO management-system certification, social audits and LWG facility ratings have different scopes. Compliance requirements depend on the goods and destination market.
