Build the braid, fit and buckle into one specification.
Hoplok develops custom braided leather belts for brands, wholesalers and retail collections. Start with the finished belt width, the braid reference and the intended outfit. The weave, buckle and leather end pieces need to be reviewed together before a sample can represent the product you want to sell.
Send a reference for the braid appearance and specify leather or PU. A visual match alone does not define construction: material, strip dimensions, backing and end reinforcement all belong in the brief.

Belt samples take 2–3 weeks; bulk production takes 60–90 days. Confirm quantities by style and color, sample revisions, material availability and shipping arrangements with your quotation.
Define the finished belt, not just a braid photograph
- Braid construction
- Reference pattern, leather or PU, strip width, weave density, backing and end-piece construction.
- Sizing method
- Specify the measuring start point, intended wearing range and total belt length. State whether the pin uses dedicated holes or a suitable position in the weave.
- Buckle and ends
- Buckle internal width, pin geometry, leather fold, keeper, tip shape and required attachment method.
- Appearance
- Color references, surface texture, edge treatment, hardware finish and acceptable variation across the braid.
- Branding and packing
- Logo method and location, size marking, labels, hang tags and individual or bulk packaging.
Approve fit and appearance on the same sample
A braided strap can behave differently from a solid strap when handled or worn. Review the finished sample at the intended waist size, with the chosen buckle and keeper. Do not assume that every braided construction is elastic or that every pin can enter the weave without damaging it.
- Measure the agreed reference length and finished width using the documented method.
- Check buckle clearance, adjustment, keeper fit and the appearance of the tail when worn.
- Examine braid consistency, loose ends, joints, edge finish and reinforcement at both ends.
- Agree any flexing, color-transfer or pull-test requirements with the intended use and destination market before testing.

Coordinate color and material development
ProPelli is Hoplok’s LWG Gold-rated leather finishing facility in Cambodia. It develops finishes on crust leather received from partner tanneries. For a braided design, discuss the required finish and the appearance of cut edges alongside the braid reference. The facility rating does not replace testing of the finished belt.

Questions to resolve before sampling
Can a braided belt use the weave instead of punched holes?
That depends on the braid and buckle combination. Specify the desired adjustment method and check how the pin enters the sample, how securely it holds and whether repeated adjustment damages the material.
Can I order the same design in several colors?
Send the quantity for each color and size. We will confirm the order structure, material preparation and color matching with your quotation; the overall MOQ should not be assumed to apply separately or collectively without confirmation.
Where can my brand logo go?
A solid leather end piece, keeper, hardware or packaging can be considered. Provide the artwork and location so the team can review the available area, appearance and method in the sample.
